And tasty is our name. How else would we manage to Monger the Hunger? We're fiercely proud to be local - there is so much to offer from our Hawkes Bay region and the wider East Coast from Gisborne down to the Wairarapa.

We've crammed our menu with as much variety of seafood as we can find, so much that we can't possibly fit it on all the time!
From small Snacks and Bites; 'Classics' such as Chowder, Fish Taco and the ubiquitous Fish 'n' Chips; to our signature 'Morsels', Grilled Fish with Kumara Miso Mash and the Bouillabaisse.
Our menu always follows the seasons of the Sea and the Land, with some comings and goings at least once a month.
And a Strictly Seafood Affair: meaning there's not a scrap of meat in sight.

Our salads are seasonal and fresh, changing all the time. What's harvesting now is always gonna be the best eating!

Ditto the Seafood - if it ain't fresh, we don't want it on our stove.
Our fish arrives 6 days per week - our selection will only be dictated by the Weather and the Fishermen!

Luckily, we have both of them. I mean all of them, as in Fish AND Chips as Takeaways at The Beach (being the one across the road from us) Sorry it's not a sandy beach like this picture! You can blame Mother Nature that it's a bit rocky, or you can blame the Earthquake... Either way, you're probably right!

The $12 Fish'n' Chips is no less than 120 grams of fresh fish fillet coated in your choice of Tempura Batter or Breadcrumbs, both of which are GLUTEN FREE, served with a scoop of chips, lemon and our own tartare sauce.

We DO HAVE more than fish 'n' chips on our menu, use the link here to see our current menu. Please be aware we are focused on our dine in customers as first priority. Which just means at peak times (6:00pm to 7:30pm) there might be a longer wait.

We love the Hawkes Bay - the delightful weather; the seaside location; the jaw dropping vista from Te Mata Peak; an incredible climate for growing delicious produce; and a thriving community full of great people. It's precisely why we want to be a champion for all there is to offer from our region.

You'll find us in the heart of Napier CBD, right across the road from the beach on Marine Parade, opposite the Mini Golf and a short walk from The Soundshell.
